It’s finally here!
The day of your scheduled appointment has finally arrived! Here are some tips to help you prepare:
Make sure you have filled out your consent forms.
Dress comfortable, you will be laying down for a good portion of the appointment.
While the temperature of the studio is often cozy, if you are prone to being cold you may want to bring a light jacket or throw blanket to keep comfortable.
Wear makeup, or don’t! It’s your preference. Wearing your regular everyday makeup is often helpful for me in designing your brows but if you don’t want to wear makeup that is ok too!
DRINK THE COFFEE. You read that right. If you are a regular coffee drinker a cup of coffee is ok. Often times disrupting your normal habits like drinking caffeine can induce headaches or nausea and we don’t want that! ☺︎
P.S. I have a fully stocked snack bar in the studio with lots of treats and beverages for you to enjoy ☺︎
xo, Stephanie

Avoid
-
While you have active scabbing (even if you don’t notice it) you need to protect your brows since you cannot put sunblock directly on them. Walking outside from your car to a store is fine, but if you plan on being outside for a while please wear a hat or stay in the shade.
-
You will want to avoid submerging your brows in water like diving head first into a pool. However, your brows might get wet in the shower when rising your hair and that is ok just be sure to dry them when you get out of the shower and only wash your face outside of the shower.
-
If you work out, its ok to lift weights but avoid; heavy cardio, saunas, steam rooms, and red light therapy while you have active scabbing (typically 10 to 14 days) .
-
Picking or scratching your brows can cause uneven healing or loss of pigment.
STAGES OF HEALING
On day two your brows may look darker and you may experience light swelling or redness, this is the start of your healing process. Please try to be patient with this process and realize that your brows will change each day. It’s very important that you follow all after care instructions. When your brows are fully healed (6 weeks) we can make changes to shape, color, or density.
Here is a general timeline to give you an example of the stages of healing. Don’t be alarmed if your days vary, as everyone’s healing process is unique.
Day one and two: brows are dark, skin may be red and swollen.
Day four: scabs begin to appear visibly, no picking or scratching. Wash as instructed and keep them dry.
Day ten to fourteen: by this time all scabs may be gone the pigment will be light. Once they are completely gone you can treat them as usual and apply SPF and makeup like you normally would.
Week four to six: Pigment is redeveloped and now you can determine if you need to make any changes or touch up any pigment that is too light.
Trust the process ☺︎
FAQ’s
Q: Can I wear makeup?
A: Yes, but please keep a finger space away from your brows.
Q: How will I know if I need a touch up?
A: If you are happy with your brows and no adjustments are needed then you do not need a touchup. If you need to adjust color, shape, or density then we can perform a touch up. If you are unsure send me a photo and I will help you decide.
Q: One of my brows looks thicker than the other, is that normal?
A: Yes, swelling can cause variations in the thickness of your brows and will correct itself once scabs are gone. Also, once you start to form scabs the brows can look uneven but will start to balance out once the scabs are gone.
Q: Can I wash my hair?
A: Yes, you will take a shower like normal being careful not to fully submerge your brows (wash brows outside of shower). When rinsing your hair it is helpful to roll up a dry face cloth and press it to your forehead to prevent water from hitting your brows. If any water hits your brows it is ok, just be sure to dry brows off by pressing a tissue gently on brows once you are out of the shower.
a letter from me to you
Hey there friend 👋🏼
For some clients this process is scary. Your brows are changing each day. You’re not sure if the changes will be permanent, or if what’s happening is normal or not so you want to text me each day and send photos. Don’t panic, that is why I created this guide. I am hoping it contains all of the information you will need to feel at ease with this process and confident that if anything is not as we expected that I will make it right. It’s your face! I get it and I take my job very seriously. You are my walking billboard, I want you to have beautiful brows and tell all your friends! Please know that when I designed your brows I took extra care to be conservative, and keeping in mind that I know how brows typically heal. I want you to know that we are in this together and I am always here to support you 🫶🏼
That being said, please note, we cannot make any adjustments until you are fully healed by at least 6 weeks. Please remember to follow aftercare (I know, I’ve now mentioned it like 10 times) I will see you again once you are ready for a touch up where we can make brow perfection adjustments as needed.
Thank you for supporting my small business and my dreams ❤️
xo,
Stephanie
